CookBooks for my teenage daughter

When I became a single mother it meant juggling household tasks and ensuring that everyone did their share.  Because my teenage daughter was the oldest, she had the job of making dinner, which she hated.  I bought several cookbooks featuring fun and interesting meals and one Sunday practiced making them with her.  Soon she became interested in finding ways to improve on the budget-friendly, creative meals in a particular cookbook she took a shine to.  Within a short time she insisted on doing the shopping so she could get just the right ingredients and I was being ushered out of my own kitchen, so she could “do her thing”.   It worked really well.
