Cookery Books – a Creative Medium

Most people I know have some sort of creative outlet that helps them get lost doing something they love and get over stress.  For some that is music, for others painting, and for me it is cooking and baking.  To me there is nothing as wonderful as following the precise directions in one of my many cookery books to create a masterpiece of a cake, roast, or even soup.  I love everything from choosing the perfect ingredients to putting the finishing touches on a perfect pie.  Painting and music are wonderful and I love them, but they can’t make a home smell like Heaven or light up my family’s faces as I present them with a mouth-watering meal.
